This young family of four needed a clean, simple space with purpose. This home remodel included a mud room with built-ins to allow for each person to have their own cubby with room to grow. The laundry room is an efficient, functional place to do lots of toddler laundry. The dark gray 12 x 24″ ceramic tile throughout, gives a flow to all the spaces and is easy to maintain.
The kitchen transformation was stunning! The previous dark and uninteresting space became bright and attractive. The White Fantasy granite in the kitchen has a perfect blend of gray and white to bring the floors, white painted cabinets and glossy white subway tile back splash together. Pops of color throughout gives the space a fresh, current look that the clients desired. Koch 30/70 split, glass, lighted, cabinets break up the white and gives a place to house some personal collectibles. Floor to ceiling pantries flanking the refrigerator and stove give this family plenty of organized storage.
The overall openness and flow of this home remodel has been accomplished by moving a few walls and allowing a design that permits more light and lessens the restriction of movement from one space to another. Ultimately, allowing this busy couple to efficiently work in some of the most well-used rooms in the house, while keeping a close eye on energetic toddler twins.
