Home for Your Cars
Some important decisions to be made when building a garage is the size. Do you need a one or two car garage and some homeowners even desire a three car garage. The resale value of a two or three car garage is much better, since most households have at least two vehicles. Do you desire extra storage? If so than the size of your garage will need to be based on these decisions. Will the garage be attached to your home or detached? Detached garages are usually more inexpensive, because tying the addition into your home isn’t needed, which can require a more complicated and costly remodel. Whatever your preference, do your homework regarding values in your neighborhood and make the decision whether you will be staying in your home long enough to balance out the cost of a garage addition.
Three Car Garage Construction
A new 3 car garage was built, reorienting the driveway and an added bonus space above the garage for an in-home office.
Two Car Garage Construction
Due to the overwhelming presence of natural stone a low knee wall of stone was incorporated to create a courtyard feeling in the new design. Additionally we incorporated carriage style garage doors to enhance the curb appeal as you approach the home from its new driveway. We connected the new garage with an enclosed breezeway to create, not only function, but to enhance the courtyard concept. Concrete pavers were chosen for the driveway and add a warm and cottage-feel to the home.
