Reisterstown Home Remodel
This Baltimore County family wanted to expand their Rancher’s indoor family gathering place and update the landscape to offer a more desirable outdoor living area for entertaining. The renovation opened a doorway in the living room wall to the new family room addition, which also incorporated a tiled entry area with double French doors and new powder room. The addition’s exterior facade was coordinated with the existing brick home by including vinyl siding, and stone veneer with a complimentary matching brick trim. The hardscape of bluestone, brick, and stone was designed by landscape architect Garden Architecture LLC to coordinate all finishes on the exterior of the home and create a striking curbside view. Check out the transformation in comparison to the previous 1978 dated look.
The living room, along with the kitchen, is now open to the new expanded family room giving the space easy access from both corporate living areas in this family room addition. A gas fireplace offers additional heat in the winter months and a wonderful ambiance for cozy family gatherings. We located the new powder room to be convenient for outdoor entertaining in the newly landscaped backyard, which includes a fire pit, water feature, an outdoor kitchen, bar and dining area, perfect for parties or an intimate evening under the stars. A beautiful addition to this rancher creating an updated family room and new outdoor living space for this family to enjoy time together inside and out!
