Modern Home-Traditional Neighborhood
This two story contemporary custom home in a Baltimore neighborhood is in a class of its own. The homes that surround this very contemporary beauty are traditional cape cods, cottages and two story colonials. Many of these homes in the community were built in the 1940’s. The two architect homeowners decided to break from the norm and designed their 2006 contemporary custom home to reflect their individual style and taste.
The attention to detail is evident in this modern home. The owners chose beautiful contemporary wood and metal cabinetry, as well as, concrete counter tops on the island and perimeter. Many modern accessories adorn their new home which includes glass and metal railings and barn doors. The open floor plan offers much natural light. The light is amazing through the many windows and sky lights, also providing the roof top deck a birds eye view of the interior.
Light is the main focus in this unique home. Glass flooring tiles that can offer light into the basement from the windows in the living room, a floor above, is another application of incorporating light into every space. High ceilings and the open floor plan give the 3448 square foot home an expansive feel.
