This family had a kitchen and family room open floor plan that was conducive to their lifestyle but wanted to update the space. There was also a need for more storage, so floor to ceiling Bellmont cabinets including a pantry cabinet was chosen, as well as, the removal of a portion of the wall to an adjacent room. A short unnecessary railing was eliminated and to create continuity new Armstrong Red Oak in Brown Bear 5-inch solid hardwood wide plank flooring was installed throughout the entire area to replace the previous hardwood and tile mix that visually separated the two spaces. This kitchen remodel was an amazing transformation.
The new design offers the family a more visually pleasing appearance, as well as, new GE Monogram appliances, including a beverage cooler and large stainless steel refrigerator. A focal point in the new kitchen is the two-times larger, uniquely shaped island with Craft Art Driftwood Walnut counter top and also the addition of some “bling”, a luxurious Architectural Ceramics-Burano Pacific White Polished Mosaic back splash. New lighting which includes three pendants over the dining table and two large Sutton pendants by Birch Lane over the island brighten the neutral kitchen and a large white ceramic apron sink and Artifacts chrome faucet by Kohler finish the transitional look.
