Baltimore County Kitchen Renovation
This young transplant couple knew exactly what they wanted for their renovation. They wanted to take dark and dingy to light, bright and current. The selection of oyster cabinet surround with a fog colored island did wonders to brighten the dark space. The built up counter top on the island adds a luxurious thickness to it. The 30/70 split, lighted cabinets helped to open up the kitchen and create a flow.
The simple, but large scale light fixtures are the perfect amount of glamore and the real polished marble backsplash is an additional touch of elegance.
It was important to this couple to have a functioning entertaining space. The wine refrigerator and wine cubbies in the beverage area certainly accommodate that need. The all glass upper cabinets showcase their beverage selection.
In keeping with the neutral feel the taupe built-ins in the family room add a warmth against the painted board on batten walls. Both spaces feels warm and inviting.
