Kitchen Bump Out
Our client’s desire was to enlarge their kitchen space to include more cabinetry, a larger work island, and add a new sunroom-like dining area. This kitchen bump out includes a new octagonal dining area that opens the kitchen to the spacious landscaped back yard. Bringing in much natural light and offering a view while enjoying the morning cup of coffee or the evening meal making each day special. How would you like to start each day enjoying the beauty of nature?
Clean modern gray custom painted Dura Supreme Cabinetry on the island and white painted perimeter cabinets fill the kitchen. They decided to have the walls of the kitchen painted in the same Sherwin Williams, African Gray paint. To brighten the new kitchen space oversize 24″ x 48″ white porcelain tile was chosen for the flooring. This allows the abundance of natural light to reflect off the cabinets, tops, and flooring and completely changing the space.
The new gourmet kitchen has been outfitted with top of the line appliances with such names as such Sub Zero, Wolf, and Bosch supplying the home’s cook with all the conveniences of a commercial kitchen. A large stainless steel Anzio exhaust hood provides the power needed to keep the kitchen protected and also adds to the modern style. The discreet Europa Tab 4 and 6-inch polished chrome pulls on all the cabinets, including the refrigerator, are shiny and sleek adding to the modern style. The Sub Zero refrigerator is hidden by custom painted cabinet doors helping the appliance blend into the wall of cabinetry. The microwave and flat-screen television were also built into the Dura Supreme cabinetry with a convenient bookshelf for the homeowner’s cookbook collection.
The overall look of the kitchen bump out design is a smooth and contemporary light-filled welcoming space for family and friends to gather overlooking a beautifully landscaped backyard. It is truly their dream come true!
