Award Winning Basement

The Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence began in 1993. The awards cover 28 categories of residential and commercial remodeling, and winners are selected for each of four geographical regions of the country.

This unfinished basement remodeled includes all the essentials for home entertaining. The theater room is great for movie viewing offering stadium seating. Designer, Katie Heyman’s, special touches, include the sink and faux leather wallpapered walls,  also the grass cloth-covered ceiling panels, commercial epoxy floors, cement counter-tops, large reclaimed wood barn door and bar column, which give this basement a rustic meets modern look.  Adults enjoy the tavern-size lighted bar, which changes color, home gym, guest bedroom, a full bath with steam shower and a seating area which includes contemporary floor to ceiling tile, gas fireplace, and a living wood beam bench as its mantel.
