Master Bedroom Makeover
This is our second remodel for the same homeowner in a Catonsville historic home. The house is full of custom touches and the homeowner has carefully created a modern interior without disturbing the period look of the exterior. Their home in Catonsville is located in a sought-after neighborhood. We remodeled the second and third floors in one renovation project which includes a modern master bedroom suite. The first floor was done a few years ago. To see that remodel check out Modern Interior Remodel.
Choosing to remodel the modern master bedroom allowed us to reconfigure the closet too. The closets in older homes were small and dark not allowing room for the wardrobes most of us now have. This homeowner is now able to have His and Her closets with plenty of room for dressing. His new closet provides access to the newly renovated master bath and both closets enjoy plenty of natural light.
Modern Master Bathroom
The existing bathroom was dated and not in the taste and style of our clients. The large platform tub seems an albatross in the room. The decision was made to switch it out with a free-standing soaking tub in white. The difference is dramatic. To dress it all up they decided to install Rhomboid Tuxedo hexagon black tile along the one wall and in the shower as a focal point. The black and white checkboard tile floor was replaced with a muted gray tile also giving the room a more expansive look.
Also needing a new look was the hall bathroom that shared the second floor with the master suite. The shower/tub combination style was kept for space-saving in the small room but updated. The double vanity in black with a marble-like top was added to dress things up and beautiful wallpaper adds an even more luxurious style. Your dreary hall bathroom can be given a look of luxury and style without changing the footprint of the room.
